Barbecue Tri-Tip Steak with Little Devil

Tri-Tip Steak with Little DevilWe made these steaks at my house over a weekend and invited a few friends over to share in my new cooking creation. Working for a spice company definitely has its perks. I have been working my way through the spices and trying them on things I love. It seems that every seasoning that I touch has this amazing way of blending into my foods. Little Devil was no different. Just opening the wonderfully designed chef’s tin and getting a waft of heaven made me think steak!

This is probably the easiest (full of flavors) steak you will ever cook.

Simple way of turning tri-tip into glorious tasting steaks.
Ingredients
  • 3-5 lb Tri-Tip
  • Little Devil
Instructions
  1. Heat up the BBQ Grill
  2. Cut the tri-tip up into steaks roughly an inch thick. I like to do this while it is slightly frozen so that they measure out pretty well and are easier to handle. Usually hours before I am going to cook. If it is better for you however you can do after defrosting.
  3. Sprinkle Little Devil over your meat and rub in. The measured amount is rough being this is a to taste. I used an entire 1 oz. tin to cover all my steaks.
  4. Let your steaks sit for a few minutes (2 to 5) so that they can soak in flavors.
  5. Lay on heated grill and allow about 3 or so minutes to cook. Try the 2 & 10 method (like a steering wheel) for flipping to get really nice grill marks.
Notes

If you want to, you do not have to cute the tri-tip up & cook on your grill. Just make a tin foil pouch, put the entire tri-tip in (uncut), pour, pinch, or however you choose, Little Devil over the meat. Close the pouch and put in preheated oven. I like 300F-325F for roughly 2.5-3 hours for a nice slow and steady cooking. It will be mouth watering amazing.
